    Atlantic Boats, Inc. News

Spring 2008

Wow! Another spring is approaching! Our complete staff at Atlantic Boats would like to express our sincere gratitude for your continued support, service and comments.

By now, I’m sure you’ve received a “boat-load” of information regarding ethanol; either first hand, through literature or through a friend.  I’d like to give you the simplified ABC’s of preventative maintenance for your engine, so you may enjoy this upcoming season, trouble free.

Add a fuel water separator and carry extra filters with you at all times to change on a regular basis.  Ethanol added to a fuel tank contaminated with water will cause expensive repairs.  Boat!  If possible, don’t let your fuel sit idle longer than ten days.  You should treat your tank with Star-Tron, an enzyme additive we have at our parts department to help prevent the absorption of water.  It is good practice to drain the carb float or vapor bowl if the engine is not going to be used daily.  Re-Circulation of your fuel;  Atlantic Boats’ recommends this process to all our customers as the first step to your commissioning process by running all fuel through a Racor filter (Model 1000MA), at a high velocity, to remove the water, varnish and debris that has accumulated from sitting over the winter.  The process draws the fuel from the main fuel tank, filters it and returns the fuel to the tank via the filler neck.  It is a flat rate fee of $109.00, regardless of the amount of fuel, number of tanks or labor time it encompasses.

Demo Day!  We will be hosting a Demo Day on April 19th, from 9-3.  Bring your family and friends to Stonebridge Marina and take a ride on the boat you’ve always wanted to: Everglade, World Cat, Pro-Line, Monterey and Triumph.  Back at the shop, there will be food, raffles and more.  Mark the date and we’ll see you then!

Click Here for the checklist to fill out for spring commissioning.  I can not stress enough to get it back to us ASAP.  Call service and we will go over it with you right over the phone; easy enough!  If you are doing maintenance yourself, visit parts for the best supply and pricing around.

We are excited to announce our new web site, which is still undergoing updating, atlanticboats.net, check it out!  We look forward to hearing from you, please contact us via email at:
